A joint intervention by the Municipal Police and the Carabinieri led to the seizure of an area of 12 thousand square meters in Pompei, where illegal work was underway to create a camper parking area and renovate an old farmhouse.
The area, located in via Grotta II, a few meters from the archaeological excavations of Civita Giuliana, is in an area with landscape and environmental protection restrictions. The works, deemed not in compliance with urban planning regulations, included lowering the ground by about one meter and installing 26 columns for water and electricity systems.
