A huge tragedy has struck the community of Palazzolo Vercellese. A child alone five months died after being bitten by a large dog, a pitbullinside his home.

The rescue was immediate, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done for the little boy. The dog, apparently property of the parents, it was they who raised the alarm.
The tragedy occurred in an area of the town near the former nursery school. According to initial reconstructions, the child was in arm to grandma while the woman was walking in the garden. The parents, instead, had gone out to do the shopping.
The Carabinieri of Vercelli are investigating the incident. The pitbull was seized by the military of the Arma Forestale pending the investigations of the case. Apparently, there had never been reports of aggression by the dog.
I parents, both in their thirties, they took the dying child directly to the emergency helicopter that had landed in the town's sports field.
The pain in the community is immense. The news has shocked all the residents, who are gathered around the family in this moment of great suffering.
