On June 10, filming for the fifth season of “Mare Fuori,” the cult series that has conquered the Italian public, begins in Naples. However, the set will have to face a major challenge: the absence of some of its most beloved characters.
Massimiliano Caiazzo (Carmine), Matteo Paolillo (Edoardo), Clara Soncini (Crazy J) and Kyshan Wilson (Kubra) will not return for season five. The actors have in fact chosen to dedicate themselves to other projects: Soncini and Paolillo will focus on music, while Wilson ventures into the world of fashion.
The farewell of these interpreters had already been partly foreshadowed by the final events of the fourth season. Carmine Di Salvo, after having obtained permission to leave the IPM with little Futura, has started a new life, while Rosa Ricci has taken the path of revenge. Kubra has been transferred to continue her studies and Crazy J has been moved to another prison following the fire in the recording studio.
Despite the important absences, “Mare Fuori 5” will be able to count on the return of familiar faces loved by the public. Maria Esposito (Rosa Ricci), Domenico Cuomo (Cardiotrap), Carmine Recano (Commander) and Lucrezia Guidone (the new director) will in fact be present in the new season.
Furthermore, the fifth season will see the arrival of new characters, who could bring a breath of fresh air and novelty to the plot.
Fans holding their breath for Edoardo's fate
One of the most burning issues that will keep viewers in suspense is the fate of Edoardo (Matteo Paolillo). His absence in the fifth season suggests that he was killed in the cemetery, hit on the head with a shovel. The episode will pave the way for the search for the culprit and the desire for revenge of Rosa Ricci, already tried by the death of her father.
Filming of the fifth season of “Sea Outside” will be held in Naples and other locations in Campania. The release date has not yet been announced, but is expected for 2025.
