Alfredo D'Ausilio, a 45-year-old known on TikTok as “Alfredo 'o chiatt,” was released after being arrested for electricity theft.
The Carabinieri had discovered that in his supermarket in Qualiano, in the province of Naples, the meter had been tampered with so as not to record consumption.
D'Ausilio, after his arrest, was placed under house arrest. The judge, however, validated the arrest but did not deem it necessary to apply a precautionary measure.
The TikToker, who has over 140 thousand followers, posted a video on social media in which he appears smiling with a woman and the writing “Already free.” The video lasts a few seconds and the man does not speak.

The story has had a wide echo in the media and on social networks, triggering various reactions. There are those who condemned the gesture of D'Ausilio, who instead expressed solidarity towards him.
