“This year has been another beautiful story, for how the championship unfolded and for the experience of Atalanta who beat a team that had given 17 points to the Champions League finalist and 27 to Bayern. We celebrate a great football, Serie A, which is not only made up of great clubs in great cities, but also of squares and bell towers that feel part of this great celebration”. These are the words of Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A, at the opening of the Serie A Festival which begins today in Parma.

De Siervo underlined how the Serie A represents a unique competition in Europe, characterized by a variety of winners that makes the Italian championship more interesting than other continental competitions. “Serie A has the great advantage of being an important competition, the first in Europe, if we analyze it from the point of view of who wins: more different teams win, making it a more exciting championship”.

The Serie A Festival is an opportunity to celebrate the season just ended and to discuss the future prospects of Italian football. "What message can this festival send out? The idea is simple: to tell all the good things that have been done and all the good things that we plan to do in the coming year, but above all to gather ideas and engage in a constructive dialogue with our audience."
