There has been a sharp increase in road victims in Italy in the last weekend (26-28 July): 36, compared to 26 the previous weekend.
According to the data released from Asaps, the Association of Supporters of the Highway Police, which is based in Forlì, 17 motorists, 10 motorcyclists, 5 pedestrians, 3 cyclists and a van passenger died.
The youngest victim was a 81-year-old, the oldest was an 35-year-old man, and 8 were under 14. Four multiple-fatal crashes resulted in XNUMX fatalities, while XNUMX fatal crashes were caused by vehicle evasion without third-party involvement.
Ten fatal accidents occurred on state and provincial roads. There were 7 victims in Veneto and Lombardy, 6 in Sicily, 3 in Emilia-Romagna, 2 in Trentino-Alto Adige, Tuscany, Molise, Campania, Puglia, one in Liguria, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Sardinia.
