Marcianise. The Marcianise Forestry Carabinieri, during an operation to combat the illegal transportation of waste, seized a truck loaded with ferrous waste contaminated with hazardous substances.
The intervention took place in via Salvati, where the military intercepted the vehicle and, after a brief chase, identified the driver, an Albanian citizen resident in the Aversa area.
The inspection of the container revealed the presence of approximately 4 cubic meters of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste, including ferrous material contaminated by harmful substances.
At the time of the check, the driver was unable to produce any documentation certifying the origin of the waste or the authorization for its transportation.
In light of the evidence, the Carabinieri Forest proceeded to seize the truck, the registration document and the waste transported. The driver was reported at large for illegal management of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste.
