Two people were arrested by the Carabinieri of Alba, in the province of Cuneo, on charges of sexual assault and gang rape.
The victims, five young women, had been lured under the pretext of taking part in a photo shoot against the violence against women. However, once they arrived at the modeling agency's headquarters, they were attacked.
The investigation revealed that the abuse began in April 2023 and continued until February of this year. Those arrested are a man living in the Alba area, owner of a fashion agency, and his collaborator.
Both allegedly exploited the deception of an awareness campaign against violence against women to attract victims and abuse them in the Alba and Braidese areas.
Investigators suspect that the number of violent incidents may be higher and that there are other victims who have not yet reported what happened.
