A 28-year-old man from Salerno, accused of sexual assault on a minor, was executed by the Carabinieri of the Montecorvino Rovella Station.
The precautionary measure, which provides for detention in prison, was issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Salerno, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office. The investigation focuses on episodes that allegedly took place between the months of July and August 2023.
The accused is suspected of forcing a 17-year-old girl to have sexual intercourse against his will. The charges are currently being examined by the magistrates of the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office and will be the subject of further examination in the next judicial phases.
At the moment, the charges brought against the 28-year-old have been accepted by the Preliminary Investigation Judge as part of a precautionary order.
The investigation continues, with law enforcement engaged in clarifying every aspect of the incident. The investigations have yet to definitively confirm the responsibilities of the individual arrested.
