Yesterday afternoon, the State Police officers intervened in Piazza Garibaldi At the request of the Operations Room, they put an end to a robbery with assault.According to the reconstruction, two young men had just robbed a shop in Via Firenze, stealing some bracelets with a total value of around 80 euros.
The owner of the shop, having noticed the theft, tried to stop the thieves, but was attacked with kicks and punches.
Fortunately, at that time, some Italian Army soldiers serving in Piazza Garibaldi they noticed the scene and intervened. One of the thieves he was immediately stopped, while his accomplice managed to escape.
The police officers immediately started chasing the fugitive, managing to catch up with him and stop him after a brief struggle. Both young men were found in possession of part of the stolen goods.
The two arrested, a 15-year-old Tunisian with a criminal record and a 16-year-old Egyptian, were taken to the police station on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and causing personal injury.
