The Municipality of Avellino relaunches for the second consecutive year the project “I Move Green”, designed to encourage walking and cycling, including pedal-assisted cycling, on home-work routes. Also this year, a financial contribution is expected for those who opt for sustainable mobility by leaving the car at home.
20 cents will be reimbursed for each kilometer traveled, up to a maximum of 50 euros per month. The first 100 workers who join the project will be eligible. It is necessary to be a resident of Avellino with a workplace in Campania or vice versa and demonstrate that they travel to and from work using sustainable means for at least five days a month.
“This is a project we strongly believe in and which was a major success last year,” said the mayor of Avellino, Laura Nargi. “To achieve the strategic goal of more sustainable mobility, it is essential to promote good practices like this, raising awareness and encouraging our citizens to adopt healthier habits and lifestyles.”
The call to participate in “I Move Green” is available on the institutional website of the Municipality of Avellino at the following link: https://www.comune.avellino.it/pdf/ufficiostampa/up_20241015012516.pdf
