Pomigliano new cameras – Twenty new video surveillance devices and thirty license plate readers will soon be operational in the municipality of Pomigliano d'Arco, a project made possible thanks to the funding of 149.000 euros allocated by the Ministry of the Interior, with a 20% co-participation by the Municipality. The plan, formalized in the Prefecture, aims to improve the monitoring of traffic flows and to strengthen security measures against petty crime.
The city administration has announced that the installation of new cameras and license plate readers will take place in the city's key areas, with particular attention to the main entrances and sensitive areas such as 219, where new technologies will improve control of the territory. Interventions are also planned in the farmhouses and a reinforcement in the parking lots, recently affected by a series of thefts.
"Pomigliano d'Arco wants to be a municipality at the forefront of security, thanks to advanced technology that will offer citizens greater protection and an increase in the quality of urban life,” the administration explained. The main objective is to discourage illegal activities and reduce petty crime. The new installations, which will be operational in the coming weeks, aim to give citizens a strong sense of security and protect the territory.
