No agreement was reached at the meeting at the Prefecture regarding the dispute between social cooperatives and the ASL Napoli 1 Centro. The health authority's general director, Ciro Verdoliva, confirmed his intention to terminate the contract for social and health care services early, one year and four months early. This decision would immediately jeopardize the jobs of approximately 300 social and health workers (OSS) and leave hundreds of patients and users without care.

Despite the intervention of Prefect Michele di Bari, who mediated the meeting between the ASL and the Campania Region, the situation remains critical. “We are grateful to the Prefect for having called this meeting, but we cannot accept that social cooperation is being destroyed, leaving hundreds of workers on the street,” said Giacomo Smarrazzo, president of Gesco, one of the main cooperatives involved.

During the summit, Sergio D'Angelo, founder of the social enterprise group, informed the approximately 250 protesters present in Piazza del Plebiscito of the negative outcome of the meeting. “We cannot accept the Prefect's invitation to cease the mobilization. We ask that the contract deadline, set for December 31, 2025, be respected,” explained D'Angelo. After the meeting at the Prefecture, the protest moved in front of the Teatro San Carlo, the Royal Palace and finally in Piazza Municipio, near the statue of Pulcinella di Pesce.
