Nocera Inferiore. A 54-year-old man, originally from Nocera Inferiore but resident in Siano, was arrested last Friday after hitting a traffic policeman following a dispute over a fine. The accident occurred near the roundabout on Via Atzori.
According to the investigations, the man had parked his vehicle at the intersection of Via Atzori and Via Barbarulo, near the new roundabout. After leaving a bar, he found himself facing the municipal police who had just notified him of a parking violation.
Angered by the fine, the man railed against the officers and refused to provide the requested documents. In an attempt to drive away, he started the vehicle, crumpling up the ticket and accidentally hitting one of the officers, who received a 20-day prognosis.
The man was immediately arrested on charges of resisting a public official and assault. However, after the arrest was validated by the Court of Nocera Inferiore, was released with the obligation to sign. The Court initially ordered house arrest, but later opted for freedom, imposing however the daily signature at the police station.
The entire episode was captured by CCTV cameras, providing clear documentation of the events.

It's incredible how a simple ticket can lead to such a serious situation. The man should have been calmer and not reacted that way. I hope the victim recovers quickly after the accident.
