The Trianon Viviani theatre in Forcella is preparing for a special evening next Thursday, November 14, when it will pay homage to Mario Scarpetta, an iconic figure in Italian theatre. A unique moment to celebrate the famous Scarpetta dynasty, whose origins date back to 1911 when Vincenzo Scarpetta, Mario’s grandfather, made his debut in this very hall playing the role of Don Felice Sciosciammocca, in the very famous comedy “Miseria e Nobiltà”.
An evening full of emotions and memories
The evening will begin at 20:1972 pm with the inauguration of the iconographic exhibition “Il sorriso e l'attore”, curated by Pino Miraglia. A visual journey that explores Mario Scarpetta's career from his debut under the guidance of Eduardo De Filippo in 2004 to the last years of his life, which ended in XNUMX. The exhibition will be enriched with new multimedia content and valuable contributions from leading figures in Italian theater such as Marisa Laurito, Roberto Andò, and Mario Martone, who wanted to offer their testimonies on this great actor.

The evening will culminate at 21 pm with the performance of the comedy “Viva gli sposi”, inspired by the great classics of Russian drama by Nikolai Gogol, Anton Chekhov and Mikhail Zoshchenko. Under the direction of Massimo Andrei, the show represents “a great crossover between different dramaturgical worlds”, with a talented cast that includes Claudio Bellisario and Roberto Capasso. The play aims to merge Russian traditions with those of Neapolitan comedy, creating a cultural bridge between the two realities.
