Three people have been reported to the judicial authorities for illegal dumping of waste in Castellammare di Stabia. The Municipal Police officers caught them while they were abandoning waste material and other waste in Traversa Fondo d'Orto, near the ecological island, currently closed for modernization works.

The news was made public by Councilor Giuseppe Cioffi during today's question time. Responding to a question from the opposition forces, Cioffi, a member of the Vicinanza council, declared: "Over the course of these months, the area in front of the ecological island has been the subject of various interventions and is constantly monitored, both by the Municipal Police and the Forestry Carabinieri. Thanks to this monitoring activity, it was possible to identify the three responsible parties, report them to the judicial authorities and seize a vehicle used for transporting waste".
