Arzano. Funeral services: anti-mafia interdiction issued against a company linked to the Ferone clan of Casavatore by family ties. The members of the clan are intermediaries with external companies. The anti-mafia prevention activity of the Prefecture continues without interruption with the support of the Police Forces and the Anti-mafia Investigation Directorate.
The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has adopted, in recent days, five interdictions against companies operating in various sectors and in particular in transport and funeral services with offices in Sant'Antimo, Castellammare di Stabia, Carbonara di Nola and Naples. In Arzano, following investigative and informative activity by the local Carabinieri, the Prefecture has adopted the maximum preventive measure against the legal representative of the company that would have continued to operate throughout the city through a subsidiary with headquarters in Carbonara di Nola.
The complex activity implemented is aimed at safeguarding public order and protecting free competition between businesses and ensuring the proper functioning of the Public Administration. The funeral home was subjected to inspection by the local police a few months ago, who closed both its headquarters after discovering some inconsistencies in the issuing of the Suap authorization with the absence of anti-mafia certification, and ordered the removal of the advertising sign.
Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to understand whether during the funerals there are people linked to organized crime who would monitor the funerals themselves and in some cases even act as intermediaries for external companies and citizens.
