Naples. A tragedy was narrowly avoided late yesterday evening in the historic center of Naples. The Carabinieri intervened at the Pellegrini hospital after a 28-year-old man showed up at the emergency room with a stab wound to his left thigh. The episode, still being reconstructed, is said to have occurred while the young man, an employee of a bar on Via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli, was closing the shutter of the place.
According to an initial summary reconstruction, an individual approached the 28-year-old and asked to use the bar's bathroom. When the employee refused, the man allegedly pulled out a sharp weapon and struck the victim, before quickly disappearing.
The injured young man will be out for 7 days
Transported to the hospital, the young man was treated and discharged with a prognosis of 7 days. The investigations, entrusted to the Carabinieri, are ongoing to identify theattacker and shed full light on the matter.

it is a very bad episode and I hope the young man is better. The carabinieri must do more to protect citizens from these situations. It is not possible that there are people who act in this way without fear of the consequences.
