A message full of affection and gratitude that Pope Francis sent to the pilgrims of the diocese of Naples, and other dioceses, gathered in St. Peter's Square for the Jubilee pilgrimage.
Although he cannot be physically present, the Pope, currently hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic, wanted to make his closeness felt with words of hope and encouragement: “Even though I cannot be among you, I express my great joy in knowing that you are united with me and among you in the Lord Jesus. I bless you and pray for you. And I recommend: continue to pray for me”.
In his message, Pope Francis underlined the importance of the pilgrimage as a sign of unity of the Christian community around its pastors and the Bishop of Rome, recalling that love “unites and makes us grow together”. “In these days I have felt the support of your closeness, especially through the prayers with which you have accompanied me”, wrote the Holy Father, urging the faithful to start again “even stronger in faith and more united in charity”.

I read this message from the Pope and it seems to me that it is very beautiful, but there are parts that I do not understand well. The important thing is that he encourages us to be united. I hope that everyone can follow his advice, even if he is not physically present.
