An important operation by the Guardia di Finanza of Salerno led to the seizure of a considerable quantity of illegal material in a warehouse located in Pagani. The financial police of the Nocera Inferiore company discovered and confiscated explosives, narcotics, contraband cigarettes, ethyl alcohol and counterfeit banknotes, arresting the person responsible, a man with no criminal record.
In detail, 340 kilos of explosive material were hidden inside the premises, with a net content of 85 kilos, stored without any safety measures. Furthermore, 3 kilos were found between hashish, marijuana and crack, 48 kilos of manufactured tobacco, half of which did not have the State Monopolies seal, 75 litres of contraband ethyl alcohol and several counterfeit 20 euro banknotes.
Of particular concern is the location of the warehouse, located in a densely populated area and close to schools, representing a serious danger to the community. The man was placed under house arrest and will have to answer to multiple charges, including possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics, failure to report and illegal trade in explosive material, smuggling of manufactured tobacco, and evasion of payment of excise duties on alcohol and alcoholic beverages.

It is incredible how something like this could happen in such a populated area. The presence of explosives and drugs near schools is a very serious matter. I hope that the authorities will take more severe measures to prevent similar situations.
