In Naples, inmates make gowns for Federico II law professors. This is done through a “social integration project” involving the university and the Palingen tailoring workshop, which offers work to both inmates and ex-inmates, giving them a second chance.
The ceremony for the delivery of the robes to the professors of the Department of Law will be held on Monday 16 December at 13 pm in the De Sanctis room of the University Frederick II. The Palingen srl tailoring laboratory was born with the aim of offering a second chance to people deprived of their liberty, both men and women, through training and professional employment.
The event will be attended, among others, by Sandro Staiano, director of the Department of Law, Giulia Russo, director of the “Pasquale Mandato” prison in Secondigliano, Marco Maria Mazio, CEO of Palingen, the seamstresses Amalia Giacchetta and Maria Ruotolo, and Samuele Ciambriello, Guarantor of prisoners in Campania.
