Box Office Performance
Yesterday, January 6, 'Diamanti' continued to shine at the box office, recording over 750 thousand euros in takings during its third week of programming. The film thus climbed the charts, receiving warm ovations from the public throughout Italy. 'Diamanti' also ranks as the second highest-grossing film for an Italian film in the post-pandemic period, after 'C'è ancora domani' by Paola Cortellesi, which totaled 37 million euros thanks to the distribution of Vision Distribution.
The statements of the protagonists
Massimo Proietti, CEO of Vision Distribution, commented on the film's success, stating: “It has been a fantastic journey that clearly does not end today. The film still has a long way to go in Italian cinemas. I would like to thank Ferzan Ozpetek first of all, who involved us in an ambitious story, but full of feeling and great humanity. I would like to thank Marco Belardi who produced the film with Greenboo Production and who never stopped believing in it. I would like to thank Antonella D'Errico, President of Vision and all of Sky Italia for having supported us from the very beginning on this ambitious project. And I would like to thank, above all, the Vision team who made the impossible possible, confirming themselves with this result, after 'C'è ancora domani', as a point of reference for the cinematographic distribution of Italian films.”
Marco Belardi, producer for Greenboo Production, commented on the significant milestone: “This success is a great satisfaction for this film and for all of Italian cinema. The result of 'Diamanti' demonstrates, once again, that the public wants to return to the theater to be excited by quality films. The great warmth that the spectators have shown us gives us the energy to always do well and more, finding stories and authors who manage to combine quality with entertainment. A well-deserved thanks to Ferzan's talent and his great sensitivity, to all of Vision who followed and supported us on this wonderful journey and in particular to Massimo Proietti and Antonella D'Errico for believing in this film from the beginning.”
