Two men from Crotone were arrested by the prison police for attempting to sneak 11 cell phones, hidden in a soccer ball, into the maximum security prison of Siano in Catanzaro.
They are RM, 22, from Isola Capo Rizzuto, and DF, 15, from Crotone. The two arrived in the car driven by the 22-year-old near the prison with a ball in which, after being cut, 11 cell phones with as many chargers had been inserted.
Trying to get the ball in prison It was the fifteen-year-old trying to kick it over the walls about 15 meters high on the side where the soccer field is located inside the prison. The attempt was unsuccessful.
The scene was seen through the video surveillance system and the prison police stopped both the fifteen-year-old and the adult who was in the car. The two were arrested for the crime, in association, of procuring non-compliance with detention measures.
Tomorrow the adult, who is in the security cells of the Catanzaro police headquarters, will appear before the Gup of Catanzaro assisted by the lawyer Fabrizio Salviati. The fifteen-year-old, defended by the lawyer Aldo Truncé, has been entrusted to the family.
