Naples – A 44-year-old man, already known to the police, was arrested yesterday morning by the State Police on charges of evasion and rapina aggravated improper.
The incident occurred at the turnstiles of the station Circumvesuviana of Garibaldi Square.
According to the reconstruction, the officers of the Vasto-Arenaccia police station intervened after the report of an assault.
At the scene, officers were approached by a victim who reported having been robbed.
The victim identified a nearby individual as the perpetrator. The officers promptly apprehended the suspect, discovering that shortly before, with an excuse, the latter had convinced the victim to hand over his cell phone. The robber then attacked the victim with a pair of scissors to ensure his escape.
Investigations revealed that the man was already under house arrest, further aggravating his situation. The stolen cell phone was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
