Perugia – The Perugia Public Prosecutor's Office has registered three people under investigation for manslaughter following the tragic death of Gabriele Raimondo, a 33-year-old worker originally from Roccapiemonte and resident in Scafati.
The young man lost his life on Tuesday, January 21, after being trapped in a die-cutting machine inside the Europoligrafico plant, located in the industrial area of Santa Sabina, on the outskirts of Perugia. Raimondo, an employee of an external company, Bobst Italia, was carrying out maintenance operations at the time of the accident.
The suspects are two managers, respectively of the companies Europoligrafico and Bobst, and a supervisor of the Santa Sabina company. The registration in the register of suspects is a necessary act, the result of the first investigations started after the autopsy, which confirmed the dynamics of the accident.
The death of Gabriel Raymond has shaken not only the young man's community of origin, but also the world of work, reigniting the debate on safety in industrial environments. The Prosecutor's Office is now investigating the responsibilities to ascertain any negligence or shortcomings in safety protocols that could have contributed to the tragedy.
Meanwhile, Gabriele's disappearance has left a deep void among family and friends, who remember him as a hard-working and lively boy. The story brings attention to a topic that is unfortunately always current: that of accidents at work, which continue to claim victims despite regulations and controls.
The investigations continue to shed light on the exact responsibilities and ensure justice for Gabriele Raimondo.
