Ceprano – Moments of terror on the A1 motorway between Ceprano and Pontecorvo, where a bus carrying a school group violently crashed into the diversion signs along the southbound lane.
The accident caused moments of panic among the young passengers and several students were injured, fortunately not seriously, and were transported to the hospitals of Frosinone and Cassino for treatment.
The alarm was raised immediately and numerous passing motorists stopped to provide first aid while waiting for the arrival of the 118 personnel, who arrived on the scene with several ambulances from the stations of Ceprano, Pontecorvo, Frosinone and Cassino. The Fire Brigade from the Cassino and Frosinone detachments were also present to secure the area.
A seriously injured man rushed to Rome
Initially, it was reported that the bus was headed to Naples, but it was later clarified that the 48 students on board were traveling from the province of Caserta to Rome to attend a university course.
For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle hit the road sign of a branch in the stretch between the Pontecorvo and Ceprano toll booths, suffering significant damage.
The accident resulted in about ten minor injuries, while a student from Caserta suffered more serious injuries and was transferred by helicopter to Rome to receive specialist care. Authorities are now working to reconstruct the dynamics of the crash and determine any responsibilities.

This incident is really bad and it's scary to think about what could have happened. I hope the boys get better soon and that the authorities clarify what happened, so there are no more similar episodes in the future.
