The Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Benevento he uncovered a case of illegal work in a restaurant in the city.
During an inspection, the military of the Benevento Group found that all seven employees of the business were employed without a contract, without salary, social security and welfare protections.
The operation, carried out as part of the checks against undeclared work, led to the proposal to suspend commercial activity, accepted by the Territorial Labour Inspectorate, and to fines of approximately 20.000 Euro.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Guardia di Finanza of Benevento, Montesarchio and Solopaca have identified 26 undeclared workers and two irregular workers in sectors such as catering, commerce, transport and hairdressing, reporting 10 employers to the authorities.
The intervention underlines the commitment of the Guardia di Finanza in fighting irregular work, a phenomenon that damages the economy, compromises workers' rights and alters fair competition between companies.
