Sant'Antimo – New episode of violence that affects the business of the well-known tiktoker Luca Di Stefano, owner of the restaurant “Il Sole di Notte” and the “Pescheria degli Artisti”.
Last night, two individuals with their faces covered broke into the restaurant located in the center of Sant'Antimo, injuring the 36-year-old restaurateur with gunshots to the hand.
According to initial reconstructions, the two criminals crossed the threshold of the restaurant armed, firing several shots that hit Luca Di Stefano in the hand.
After the ambush, the two fled on board a car, leaving the injured man on the spot, transported with yellow code to the hospital in Aversa. The man's conditions are not serious.
The previous one, the theft a month ago
The episode comes less than a month after another crime that had seen the same business as a victim. At the time, Di Stefano had reported the theft by publishing videos of the robbery on social media, showing the thief in action.
A gesture that had sparked numerous reactions in the online community of the tiktoker, known for his content that mixes cooking and entertainment.
The response of the institutions
The Prefect of Naples Michele di Bari immediately ordered the strengthening of control services in the area, already the object of particular attention to prevent phenomena of urban violence. “The territory – we read in a note – is monitored with the aim of increasing the citizens' perception of safety and contrasting any form of illegality”.
The episode will be the focus of the next Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, while the Carabinieri are working to identify the attackers, analyzing the images from the surveillance cameras in the area.
Luke DiStefano, followed by hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok, has not yet released a statement. The attack has brought the spotlight back on security in the Naples area, where businesses are increasingly being targeted by crime.
