School transport, over 171 thousand euros arriving in Pompeii. The words of Senator La Mura
400 million euros for all Italian municipalities to help families in need and to deal with the increased school transport services needed to guarantee the safety of the youngest and their right to study. “An important measure,” explains Senator Virginia La Mura from Pompeii, M5S group leader in the Environment, Territory, Sea commission, “which is paid to municipalities based on their resident population. It is about 240 million euros for social spending and 160 million for school transport.
In Pompeii, 171.910,61 euros have been allocated for these purposes. An important measure because it helps those in difficulty, also or above all because of the pandemic, and because it facilitates safe mobility between home and school. The Municipalities are local administrative bodies, they know the territory and its residents well and it is right to provide them with the appropriate financial tools to help citizens in this difficult moment”.
