Benevento, persecution of ex and son: electronic bracelet for 46-year-old who must remain at least 600 meters away from the two.
A 9-year-old man from San Valentino Torio, in the province of Benevento, who was notified of a removal order by the Carabinieri of Ariano Irpino (Av), will not be able to approach his ex-wife and 46-year-old son.
The 46-year-old was given an electronic bracelet, the first case in Benevento, and was also banned from communicating with anyone, issued by the investigating judge of the Benevento court, at the request of the Benevento Public Prosecutor's Office, against a XNUMX-year-old from San Valentino Torio for the crime of stalking his ex-wife and minor son.
The investigations revealed that immediately after the separation between the two, in 2017, the man began to stalk his ex and her son, “with constant and repeated telephone contact via Whatsapp (video calls and even voice messages), towards his ex-wife and son, with an ever-increasing progression of violence to the point of threatening them with death and in such a way as to cause them a lasting and serious state of anxiety and fear, causing them a well-founded fear for their safety, to the point of forcing them to alter their lifestyle habits.”
The investigating judge of Benevento considered that there were serious indications of guilt and precautionary measures against the suspect, accepting the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office to apply the precautionary measure of the prohibition of approach with the application of the anti-stalking bracelet to monitor the movements of the man who will have to maintain a distance of at least 600 meters from his ex-wife and son.
