The Carabinieri of the Company of Maddaloni (CASERTA) have arrested by order of the investigating judge of the court of Naples fourteen people believed to be members of an association dedicated for years to the sale of narcotics, including hashish, marijuana, cocaine and crack. The leader of the group formed almost entirely of people between the ages of 40 and 50 - it emerged - was a 46-year-old from Caivano, resident in Parco Verde, a well-known drug dealing hub in the Naples area which however supplies, also due to its geographical proximity, many bases in the Caserta area.
The 46-year-old had also laundered drug money by creating a car rental company, which he then closed by selling the vehicles; this morning the military went to seize eight cars from the buyers, who will now have to demonstrate good faith in the purchase to obtain the release of the vehicle.
During the execution of the measures, the Carabinieri also found and seized 20 thousand euros in cash at the home of one of the suspects, a resident of the Neapolitan neighborhood of Secondigliano. The investigations, coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate of Naples, have ascertained the existence of a vast drug dealing ring between Maddaloni and the neighboring municipalities, managed by old acquaintances of the police force, who obtained supplies mainly from Parco Verde and in some cases from the drug dealing areas of Naples, such as Secondigliano and Scampia. The suppliers in turn obtained supplies from Calabrian figures, but the competent Calabrian prosecutors are proceeding separately on this line.
The 46-year-old from Parco Verde – investigators have ascertained – gave instructions to the other suspects on the methods of supply, especially to avoid the police. But despite the precautions, during the course of the investigation, the carabinieri arrested eleven pushers red-handed and reported thirteen users for personal consumption, seizing 2,5 kilos of drugs and a 6.35 caliber semi-automatic pistol with dozens of cartridges.
