Actor Jerry Calà is doing better after being taken ill last night in Naples, requiring him to undergo angioplasty.

The comedian and showman had just arrived in Campania from Molise, where the filming of the feature film concluded yesterday afternoon. The other scenes were shot in Ischia, Monte di Procida and to the former cinema Sophia of Pozzuoli; the last take was scheduled for Monday right here.
These have been hours of apprehension for Jerry Calà, 71, who suffered a heart attack during the night while he was in a hotel in Naples. Calà is in Napoli for the filming of his latest movie, “They kidnapped Jerry Calà: the ransom is a problem”. While he was in theSanta Lucia hotel, on the seafront of the Campania capital, was struck by an illness.
He was rushed to the hospital Mediterranean Clinic from Naples: the actor and comedian arrived in red code and was immediately taken to the operating room. Here he underwent an angioplasty.

Jerry Calà and the crew had been in Naples for a week and, after a few days of filming in San Giuliano del Sannio, the last 'Molisan' scenes of the film were shot in Campobasso, inside the television studios of Telemolise.
Several actors and journalists from Molise also participated in the filming. The other scenes of the feature film were shot in Ischia, Monte di Procida and at the former Sofia cinema in Pozzuoli. “Chi ha kidnapped Jerry Calà”, which sees the comedian engaged in the dual role of actor and director, is produced by Vargo Film and will be released at Christmas.
In addition to Calà, the cast also includes Sergio Assisi, Barbara Foria, Antonio Fiorillo, Shi Yang Shi, Massimo Boldi, Maurizio Casagrande, Nado Paone, Gianfranco Gallo and Francesca Tizzano. There are also several special participations of Calà's historical friends and colleagues such as Mara Venier and Umberto Smaila.
