"I appreciate her dignity - comments Mastella - in asking for forgiveness and, as a Catholic, I forgive her. My religious beliefs almost impose it on me. But we must be careful. Slander, constant bitterness, lies credited as false truths, especially during election campaigns, risk altering the democratic physiognomy.
