Il North Area Theater will host the show “Human Shame" of the Petra Theater Company.
The work, created by Silvia Gribaudi and Matteo Maffesanti, addresses the theme of shame with self-irony and sarcasm, both on an individual and collective level. The show presents a mix of energy, lightness and self-irony, with the bodies of the 5 performers on stage – Antonella Iallorenzi, Ema Tashiro, Mariagrazia Nacci, Mattia Giordano, Simona Spirovska – exposed without any fear, freeing themselves from stereotypes related to physical appearance and openly confessing their shame.
Gribaudi and Maffesanti use theater and dance to ask questions to the audience: is it right or wrong to feel shame? How many personal shames do men have? Where does the transformation from shame to beauty take place? The show involves and entertains the audience, offering an act of liberation in a collective rite.
At the end of the show on February 24, at the bar area of the Teatro Area Nord, the volume “La poetica dell'Humana Vergogna” edited by Franco Ungaro will be presented, hosted by the journalist Marco Petroni.
