“You will go to my mother's house for lunch by car, Giulia's body was in the car”. In reconstructing the crime that took place a year ago in Senago, the former barman admitted to having purchased a trolley to move the lifeless body of the pregnant woman, confessing: “I tried to move Giulia on the trolley, but it is impossible to place a body on the trolley.”
He also said he had tried “on several occasions to move Giulia's body from the cellar to the garage” before managing to load him into the car and abandon him not far from their home. He insisted that “absolutely no one helped me kill or move the body, I revealed nothing to my mother or anyone else”.
“There was a split in me. I was looking for Giulia because I was hoping her cell phone would ring, as if a part of me hadn't yet realized what had happened, how I had acted without control and awareness.”he said Impagnatiello trying to justify his attempts to mislead the investigation in the days before he was arrested.
He added that “I didn’t want to take anyone anywhere. I just kept feeding these many crazy things that my body has done.” He reiterated that “absolutely no one” helped him in the murder and concealment of Giulia Tramontano's body.
Impagnatiello described in detail the hours following the murder before the Assize Court of Milan. He confessed to throwing Giulia's cell phone and documents into a manhole in the McDonald's parking lot and to getting rid of some bags containing products used to clean the crime scene.
He explained that he had not used any sheet to cover the sofa, which did not show any traces during the investigation. The accused reconstructed the movements of the body “from the tub to the box”

When I was in the kitchen she was in the bedroom, when I left the kitchen she came in”.
