Naples. The officers of the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station, during the territorial control service, following a note received by the local Operations Room, intervened at the shopping gallery of Piazza Garibaldi for the report of a person intent on removing some items of clothing from a shop.
The police officers, who immediately intervened, noticed a security guard who was holding the reported individual and ascertained that the same individual, shortly before, had stolen several items of clothing, for a total of approximately 215 euros.
The thief had attempted to escape from the store by sounding the anti-shoplifting alarm but, once he reached the clerk, he physically attacked him to gain his escape.
For these reasons, the operators stopped the suspect and, after identifying him as a 42-year-old Georgian with a police record, even specific, they arrested him for improper robbery, while the goods were returned to the merchant.
