Claudio Pesante, 18, son of notorious mafia boss Francesco 'U' Sgarr', was arrested red-handed after brutally attacking two nurses at the Policlinico Riuniti hospital in Foggia.
According to initial reports, the young man, under the influence of drugs, allegedly kicked and punched the paramedics, leaving them injured. The incident, which occurred the other night, has sparked outrage and concern in the Foggia community.
The attack forced the paramedics to request the intervention of the Carabinieri, who stopped the young man and took him to the barracks.
The episode adds to a series of attacks against healthcare personnel, which is causing alarm among workers.
