Naples. The Stella Operational Unit of the Naples Local Police has struck a heavy blow to lawlessness in the heart of the city.
During an intense control activity carried out in the streets Crocelle and Fuori Porta San Gennaro, the officers identified 14 violations, hitting directly commercial activities and street vendors who were acting outside the rules.
Attention was focused in particular on the illegal occupation of public land, a phenomenon that defaces the urban decorum and damages regular commercial activities. Eleven businesses were fined for invading public spaces without the proper authorizations.
But the irregularities did not stop there. The police discovered several commercial establishments without the necessary licenses, including the SCIA (Certified Notification of Start of Activity), essential to start any commercial activity, and the authorizations for the sale of alcohol.
A street vendor was caught selling products without any permit, showing a total disregard for the rules. His goods were seized and destroyed.
This blitz demonstrates the constant commitment of the Local Police in ensuring the legality and safety of the Old Town of Naples. Repressive action against illegality is essential to protect regular economic activities, improve the quality of life of citizens and restore decorum to the city streets.
