Santa Maria Capua Vetere – A section of a wall collapsed near the monumental complex. According to the page “Ciò che vedo in città”, which shared the image of the crollo, no injuries were reported, also because there are no houses in the immediate vicinity and, at the time of the collapse, there were no passers-by present.
The cause of the collapse could be linked to water infiltration, but further checks will be conducted by the firefighters in the next few hours.
In the meantime, the area has been cordoned off to allow for the necessary checks and to begin safety work.
