Poggiomarino. A storm, not meteorological but judicial, hit the town hall of Poggiomarino this morning with the arrest of the mayor, the lawyer Maurizio Falanga.
Two other people ended up in prison with him as part of an investigation by the Naples DDA for electoral political exchange.
The arrest took place at dawn today and was carried out by the Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata Group.
The three arrested are all suspected of political-mafia electoral exchange, with the aggravating circumstance of the election of two of the participants, including the mayor.
The lawyer Maurizio Falanga, 50 years old and well-known local civil lawyer, had been elected mayor of poggiomarino in 2020 at the head of a center-right coalition.
