Zdenek Zeman he was hospitalized again at the 'Pierangeli' clinic in Pescara for a series of checks following a slight ischemia. The 77-year-old, who left Pescara last February due to health problems, is currently under medical observation. He had already been successfully operated on that occasion by Professor Stefano Guarracini's team.
Zeman, known for his spectacular and attacking football, is a legendary figure in Italian football. With a career that spanned over four decades, he was a protagonist on numerous benches, including Lazio, Roma, Foggia and Pescara, leaving an indelible mark wherever he went. Loved by fans and respected by his colleagues, he was often called a “visionary” for his innovative approach to football.
His greatest recent success is linked to the promotion to Serie A with Pescara in the 2011-2012 season, a team that shone for its offensive play and spectacle, with players such as Marco Verratti, Lorenzo Insigne and Ciro Immobile, all launched by Zeman. The coach, known for his uncompromising 4-3-3 formation and his commitment to promoting the beautiful game, has always favoured attack, often sacrificing defensive balance to create teams that score lots of goals and entertain the fans.
However, the last years of his career were marked by some physical difficulties. Already last February, due to health problems, he had to abandon the Pescara bench. Now, after this new recovery, his many fans throughout Italy and beyond are waiting for updates on his condition, hoping for a speedy recovery of the coach.
