Vallo di Lauro – From the first light of dawn, a vast operation by the Carabinieri began in Vallo di Lauro, in particular in the municipality of Quindici, in the province of Avellino. Dozens of soldiers from the Baiano Company, together with the special units of the 10th Campania Carabinieri Regiment of Naples and supported by canine units, carried out a series of targeted searches against members believed to be close to the Cava and Graziano clans.
The searches involved numerous individuals with criminal records and were also aimed at finding weapons hidden in country houses in the area. The operation is part of a context of growing tension, already recorded during last summer, between the young members of the two clans, who have been facing each other for decades in the bloody feud of Fifteen.
In particular, during the days of the patronal feast, episodes of tension had occurred between the youngest members of the Cava and Graziano clans. The police continue to monitor the situation, with the aim of restoring calm and ensuring safety in the local community.
