Naples. They also had a “content creator” to advertise their products online through well-known platforms and social networks. Unfortunately, those products were blatantly fake. And this morning precautionary measures and the seizure of assets were triggered.
Blitz on behalf of the District Attorney of Naples and carried out by the Guardia di Finanza soldiers of the Aversa Emergency Response Company who executed an order for the application of precautionary measures, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
The measures concern fifteen people, five of whom are under house arrest, seven are under house arrest and three are under obligation to report to the judicial police, all seriously suspected, to varying degrees, of crimes of criminal association aimed at committing numerous crimes of trademark counterfeiting, introduction into the State and trade of products with false signs, as well as receiving stolen goods.
They also had a warehouse where the fake goods were stored.
The investigations uncovered the activities of a syndicate that sourced counterfeit goods, including clothing , footwear, and various accessories bearing the trademarks and distinctive logos of well-known national and international brands. The merchandise was then stored in warehouses owned by the group and promoted for sale on Instagram pages.
For some of the suspects, preventive seizure was ordered, aimed at confiscating the equivalent of the proceeds of the crime, estimated at over 2.900.000 euros.
