Casoria, via Padula. It was a normal supermarket parking lot, but the attention of the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile section was captured by a scene that was anything but ordinary: three people aboard a Mazda 6 station wagon, wearing surgical masks and black hoods.

The Mazda takes off with a screech of tires, taking the outer ring road toward Casavatore, before reversing and driving in the wrong direction, putting the safety of motorists at risk.
The chase ended shortly after: having reached the junction with Provincial Road 527, the fugitives' car took a ramp in the wrong direction, colliding head-on with a Lancia Y driven by a 32-year-old. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she was released with a five-day prognosis for minor injuries.

The two occupants of the Mazda, now hunted, attempt a final escape on foot, but are stopped by the Carabinieri. In the car, the soldiers find tools for the break-in and some food, probably stolen from other cars parked near the supermarket.
Investigations revealed that the car's license plates were the proceeds of two separate thefts, which occurred respectively in San Pietro a Patierno and Castellammare di Stabia.
Francesko and Flaminia Adzovic were arrested on charges of resisting a public official and unjustified possession of false keys and lock picks. They are currently in custody, awaiting trial.
