UA water main exploded in Secondigliano, causing significant disruption in the area. The incident occurred on Via Cupa vicinale dell'Arco, forcing law enforcement to evacuate several families living in nearby buildings.
Authorities, including the police, municipal police and firefighters, intervened promptly. Acqua Campania technicians are working to restore the water supply, which is currently interrupted in a large area. The company has communicated that neighboring towns such as Arzano and Casavatore have also suffered suspension of water service. In addition, roads near the site of the accident have been closed.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Firefighters assisted the evacuees in recovering basic necessities in their apartments.
