Marianna Pedrizzi (also known by the pseudonym Marianna Perdinci) has developed a strong interest in artistic disciplines since she was a child, primarily drawing and painting.
In 2005 he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, attending the painting course. Once he completed the three-year course he specialized in "Illustration" at the "Scuola italiana di Comix".
Later he also dabbles in graphic design and photographic arts. In 2021 (and until 2024) he begins to work for Mondadori, illustrating several school books concerning historical and literary subjects. At the beginning of 2024, together with a team of animators, he creates portraits for the scientific dissemination program "Quinta Dimensione" which is part of the Rai 3 schedule.
He also has the opportunity to illustrate articles for “Futura” (Corriere della Sera newsletter), book covers (such as “L'ultimo cacciatore” by Davide Morosinotto, published by Mondadori) as well as artworks for albums by artists from the Neapolitan music scene (such as the singer-songwriter Dilis). Over the years he has taken part in various exhibitions in which he has displayed previously awarded illustrations.
Marianna cites among her influences: René Magritte, David Lynch, Francis Bacon, Art Nouveau, Max Ernst, avant-garde collages, Andrei Tarkovsky, Post Punk and Dark Wave.
His favourite illustrators include Sienkiewicz, McKean, Kai Nielsen and Dino Battaglia.
The photo attached to the article is nothing more than an illustration inspired by “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka that Marianna created for Mondadori.

The article is about Marianna who does artistic things, I think it's interesting that she studied in Naples. I love painting too, but I don't know if I'll ever be as good as her. Her influences are curious.
