This morning, during a major raid on Sulmona prison, prison officers discovered and seized forty cell phones in the possession of inmates. About one hundred blue berets participated in the raid, supported by dog units from all over Italy.

Since the beginning of the year, the agents have recovered 110 phones, bringing the prison under the attention of an investigation by the Naples DDA.
The Department of Justice is considering shielding the facility to prevent further introduction of illicit devices.
