The Bologna State Police conducted a major anti-drug operation, with the execution of 22 precautionary measures in prison. The initiative was coordinated by the Flying Squad at the request of the Bologna Public Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation, launched following an attempted murder in the Pilastro neighborhood in 2021, uncovered a dense drug dealing network. This illicit activity, which mainly includes the sale of cocaine, was conducted by an Italian criminal group that supplied a large Arab clientele. The latter was involved in the distribution of drugs in various locations across the territory.
The suspects in custody are of various nationalities, including Italians, Moroccans, Tunisians and Albanians. During the course of the investigation, the authorities arrested seven other people in flagrante delicto. The operation's balance also includes the seizure of large quantities of cocaine, heroin and marijuana, as well as a semi-automatic pistol.

The police operation in Bologna seems to have been very important, especially after the attempted murder of 2021. It is incredible how there is such a large drug dealing network, but we hope that the authorities continue to work to stop these illicit activities.
