Santa Maria Capua Vetere. An investigation by the NAS Carabinieri has brought a well-known dairy farmer from San Tammaro, Maria Ristaldo, to trial. She is accused of defrauding a local dairy by passing off cow's milk as buffalo milk.

According to the prosecution, Ristaldo systematically adulterated the milk sold to the Sammaritano dairy, thus violating consumer protection regulations and causing significant economic damage to the company. The investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and conducted by the NAS military, have allowed us to reconstruct a precise picture of the affair, thanks also to the acquisition of numerous invoices attesting to the supplies of adulterated milk.

The trial, currently underway before Judge Valenziano, has already seen the hearing of the NAS Carabinieri, who illustrated to the Court the methods with which the fraud was discovered and the evidence collected against the accused.

Ristaldo, defended by the lawyer Vincenzo D'Angelo, will now have to answer to the charges of food fraud. In the meantime, the defrauded dairy, assisted by the lawyers Gaetano and Raffaele Crisileo, has joined the civil action to seek compensation for the damages suffered.
