The Serie A match between Torino and Napoli, scheduled for today at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, was preceded by moments of high tension. Before kick-off, riots broke out between the fans of the two teams, with firecrackers and smoke bombs being thrown near the entrance to the stadium.
According to initial reports, no injuries were reported, but the incident forced the police to intervene quickly to restore order. Some fans of the Napoli were stopped for checks. The authorities had already prepared a security plan for the match, considered at risk due to the historic rivalry between the two fan bases.
Despite the precautions, the atmosphere heated up shortly before the players' arrival, putting the security cordon around the stadium to the test. The police remain on high alert to avoid further clashes during and after the match. The situation inside the stadium seems under control, but attention remains high also for the outflow of fans at the end of the match.

It is really unfortunate that there were disturbances before the match. It should be a sporting event and not an occasion to argue. I hope that the fans can enjoy themselves without any problems, but the rivalry is too strong.
